After the long, hot summer that we have recently experienced it comes as a surprise to find out that a recent YouGov survey found that over half (54%) of UK adults never wear sunglasses when they are outdoors in sunshine. The poll also found that 56% were unaware that wearing UV protective eyewear can reduce the risks of developing cataracts and age-related macular degeneration.

With a predicted Indian summer ahead and lower angles of the sun these risks are not reduced.
